Barcelona wins 29th Copa Del Rey against a hard fought Alaves side:

Copa Del Rey Final  was the last game to be played at the Vincente Calderon Stadium(Home of Athletico Madrid).Barcelona did not have a good season as they finished runners up in the la liga and got eliminated of the Champions League in the Quarter Finals to Juventus.

 There was a lot of expectations for the Catalonian Giants as they faced a smaller club Alaves though Alaves have already defeated Barca before in the La Liga. Alaves had a great cup run this season to compete in the final. Therefore there were also high expectations of a giant-killing.

Lionel Messi, the big man opened the scoreline with a great curl in the 30th minute. Then, there was a immediate reaction from the Alaves side as Theo Hernandez scored from a free-kick just three minutes later. It was looking to finish 1-1 at half time but then again something unexpected happened. Barcelona netted two goals back to back by Neymar and Paco Alcacer. Lionel Messi,the golden man had contributed in both the goals,especially in the third goal when his sublime cross to Alcacer was enough for him to score. 

There were no more goals in the second half but Barcelona had a major concern when Javier Mascherano got a head injury after colliding with Marcos Llorente.

It was also the last game for Luis Enrique as the manager of Barcelona who have decided to take a leave as a manager. Recent reports suggest Barcelona will announce their new manager on 29th May. So, it will be interesting to know who will be the next Barcelona manager.
